 JUST RELEASED!

Anthony Weaver interviews his Grandfather, Edgar E. Willis, about his latest book Civilian in an Ill-fitting Uniform - A Memoir of World War II, penned at 96 years old! This four part series covers his the time before and after he served on the USS Alaska in the Pacific Theater, during World War II.

Edgar E. Willis is the retired Emeritus Professor of Communication at the University of Michigan, where he also served for ten years as a department chairman. He spent a year in England as a Fulbright scholar, and he has authored or co-authored five books about television and radio.

In part one of the interview I ask Edgar about his inspiration for the book, the reason for the title, and why he decided to include his life before and after his service.
